Marcus Samuelsson: Cooking Is Like Conducting
The impresario of the Harlem restaurant Red Rooster explains his very approach to cooking and creativity.
Greg animated this three minute animation about Marcus Samuelsson, the celebrated New York chef for TOPIC. They have been producing a series of shorts about creative people in the big apple.
The commission came about thanks to Amy Nicholson’s documentary Pickle which features animation by The Brothers McLeod. The team liked that so much they asked us to get involved.
Greg says, ‘I was given access to an extensive one hour interview with him and had to boil that down to a two minute animation. I picked the section where he talks about food being like music.’
